BIOGRAPHY

I was born in 1953. I am a trained jurist but I answered - after some insistence - the call of the Muses. At first I divided my dedication between music and visual arts, but little by little I concentrated more on the latter.

I did not turn my back to music completely: music often serves as a source of inspiration for my visual work. In the eighties I studied drawing, painting and graphic art at the Municipal Academy (Stedelijke Academie) in Leuven and obtained my Master degree at the Institute St-Lucas (Hoger Instituut St-Lucas) in Gent and the Provincial College (Provinciale Hogeschool) in Hasselt. Here I teach since 2001.

For some time I was also a visiting lecturer at the Academy of Art in Kokola, Finland.
